Milovan Rajevac appointed as new Black Stars head coach

Serbian gaffer, Milovan Rajevac has officially been unveiled as the next Black Stars coach,

At an event being held at the headquarters of the Ghana Football Association, was unveiled to the media.

Rajevac signed a 1-year deal with an option to renew if he qualifies Ghana to the World Cup 2022 and the AFCON and will earn around $30,000.

For his immediate task, he will be expected to lead Ghana to back-to-back wins in October when the Black Stars face Zimbabwe in a double-header clash in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Milo is fondly remembered for sending Ghana to the quarter-final and final of the 2010 World Cup and AFCON respectively.

He is replacing CK Akonnor who was sacked by the FA earlier this month over poor performance.

In ten games played under Akonnor, the Black Stars won 4, drew 2 and lost four with the defeat to South Africa in the World Cup qualifiers being the final straw.
