He has been serving as the Member of Parliament for the Yapei-Kusawgu constituency since 2017.

Professional Experience:

He served as a presidential AIDE to H.E. Vice-President Mahama from 2009 to 2013, after which he was appointed Deputy Minister of Energy from 2013 to 2017 under H.E. John Dramani Mahama, where he played a pivotal role in shaping Ghana’s energy policies. 

He contributed immensely to the legislative processes in parliament, serving as the Ranking Member of the Mines and Energy Committee and Member of the Finance Committee of Parliament.

Mr Jinapor served as the Chairman of the NDC Manifesto committee for both the 2020 and 2024 manifesto of the National Democratic Congress. He also served as the Chairman of the NDC energy committee.

Hon. Jinapor brings to the Ministry of Energy wealth of hands-on experience in the energy sector and extensive educational qualifications, particularly in energy economics and finance.
