Minority leader petitions Speaker for removal of Kwasi Bedzrah as chair of vetting chaos committee

The Minority Caucus in Parliament has formally petitioned the Speaker over concerns regarding the continued chairmanship of the Ad-Hoc Committee.

In a memorandum submitted to the Speaker, Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin stressed the caucus’s reservations, demanding a fair, impartial, and credible process.

The Minority indicated that, until the Speaker responds to their concerns, they would refrain from further engagement with the committee’s work.

However, the Minority leader clarified that this stance should not be interpreted as a refusal to participate but rather as a commitment to due process.

“We trust that the Speaker will address these concerns in a manner that upholds the integrity of the Committee’s work and the broader interests of Parliament,” the Minority Leader stated.
