Days after Cristiano Ronaldo’s interview with Piers Morgan, Manchester United have responded by removing the mural of the player from Old Trafford.
The Portuguese superstar accused the club of treating him as the “black sheep” and said he feels betrayed by United.
In the interview, the five-time Balon d’Or winner also slammed the Glazers for a general lack of progress at the club and their nonchalance to team related activity.
Although the club has not officially communicated following the interview with Piers Morgan, the removal of the mural is a significant gesture.
Cristiano Ronaldo is currently with Portugal at the 2022 FIFA World Cup where they will play Ghana, Uruguay and South Korea in Group H.
