National Security Ministry denies rumours of Kan Dapaah’s kidnapping

The Ministry of National Security has refuted claims circulating on social media alleging that the Minister for National Security, Albert Kan-Dapaah, has been kidnapped.

In a statement released on Friday December 27, the Ministry described the rumors as “false, baseless, and without merit,” urging the public to disregard them.

The Ministry expressed concern over the spread of unverified information, cautioning individuals responsible for fabricating such stories to desist from actions that could undermine public confidence and national security.

“The Ministry remains committed to its mandate of ensuring the security and well-being of all Ghanaians,” the statement added.

This official clarification comes amidst growing concerns about the potential for misinformation to create unnecessary panic and distrust within the public domain.

The Ministry reiterated its dedication to protecting the safety of the country and called for public support in combating the spread of false information.
