The Central Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Comrade Gabriel Nii Kommey Adams, is in the United States for the prestigious Jacobs-Abbey Global Institute for Leadership Studies (JAGILS) Annual Awards and Gala
Adams has been selected from a pool of over 5000 global applicants to receive a Citation of Honor and an Excellence Award for his outstanding contributions to education and politics in Ghana and Africa.
The recognition comes as a result of Adams’ exceptional performance in the 2022 Executive Strategic Leadership Management Program (Cohort II) conducted by JAGILS.
He is part of a select group of 100 individuals acknowledged for their commitment to transformative leadership.
The Central Regional Communications Officer of the NDC, Gabriella Tetteh, disclosed this in a statement to the media on Friday.
He said, “We are immensely proud of Comrade Nii Kommey Adams for this well-deserved recognition on the global stage.”
“His dedication to both education and politics has undoubtedly made a significant impact, and this acknowledgment is a testament to his exemplary leadership.”
Adams has also been invited to speak at the JAGILS Annual Awards and Gala.
The event, scheduled from November 10th to 13th, 2023, will take place at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center in Virginia and coincides with the Dr. Nina L Meyerhof Leadership Summit and Timothy Bowles Africa Human Rights Awards.
JAGILS, a registered professional leadership institute and civil society organization in Virginia, is known for promoting strategic transformational thinking and offering impactful leadership programs.
The Executive Strategic Leadership Management Program, powered by the US State Department and other international agencies, focuses on developing emerging leaders’ capacity to address complex global issues.
The NDC, through Gabriella Tetteh, expressed gratitude for the global recognition of Comrade Nii Kommey Adams and emphasized the importance of such programs in enhancing leadership capabilities.
Adams is expected to return to Ghana on Wednesday, 22nd November 2023, to resume his official duties as the Central Regional Secretary.
In his absence, the Deputy Central Regional Secretary, Comrade Eric Offei (Moggai), will act as Central Regional Secretary, following the provisions of Articles 26(3) and 33 of the NDC Party Constitution
