The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has given the green light for Parliamentary primaries to be held in nine constituencies.
“After a series of engagements and background work on constituencies previously put on hold by the Functional Executive Committee (FEC), FEC is convinced that the challenges previously bedevilling many of the constituencies have been largely dealt with,” General Secretary of the party, Fifi Kwetey disclosed in a letter.
He charged Regional Chairmen to put in place the necessary mechanisms to ensure that the primaries are held on the 25th and 26th of August 2023 as planned and where there are challenges to alert the national party as a matter of urgency.
FEC, he said, will work assiduously to ensure that all remaining constituencies are also dealt with in the coming days.
