NDC secures court Injunction to halt re-collation of Nsawam Adoagyiri Parliamentary results

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has reportedly obtained a court injunction to stop the re-collation of parliamentary election results for the Nsawam Adoagyiri constituency.

This legal action comes amid heightened tensions and allegations of discrepancies in the election results.

The injunction halts the Electoral Commission’s (EC) ongoing efforts to resolve disputes over the collation process, which has fueled debates between the NDC and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

On December 12, the EC directed a re-collation of results from four constituencies in the Eastern Region: Suhum, Nsawam, Fanteakwa North, and Akwatia. These areas have been central to disputes over the initial collation process.

The re-collation exercise, held at the National Police Training School in Tesano, Accra, addressed the controversies surrounding the results.

However, disagreements between the NDC and NPP led to delays, which spilt over into a second day. The NDC has also raised concerns about discrepancies in the EC’s original pink sheets, further complicating the process.
