NDC’s propaganda machinery cannot work against “new face” Alan Kyerematen – Lecturer

A Senior Lecturer at the Ghana Institute of Journalism, Dr Etse Sikanku says the Minister of Trade and Industry, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen remains the best candidate to beat the propaganda machinery of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to him, that machinery has the potential of doing damage and scuttling the ambitions of Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia rather than Mr Kyerematen.

Speaking on Accra-based Metro TV, Dr Etse Sikanku who doubles as the Director at the Directorate for Research, Innovations & Development (DRID), stressed that Alan Kyerematen “is not a central player within the Akufo-Addo regime like the way that Bawumia is and so he can always make that argument that he represents a new face to the party and he has a different way of doing things.”

He also added that Mr Kyerematen is a clean candidate who can make a difference for the NPP because he is “propaganda free.”

“When Alan gets in, he can present himself as a new candidate and 2024 is not going to be a referendum but a change election because by the 8th year people want something new,” Dr Sikanku explained.
