NEIP temporarily suspends staff due to employment and legal Issues

The National Entrepreneurship & Innovation Programme (NEIP) has announced the temporary suspension of all staff due to unresolved employment and legal issues.

In an official memo dated February 21, 2025, the CEO of NEIP directed the HR Officer to inform staff that, following extensive follow-ups, management has determined that the complexity and legal implications of certain employment matters prevent the use of operational funds for monthly staff allowances.

The memo further stated that management has been instructed to adhere strictly to due process in regularizing staff employment to prevent further legal complications.

As a result of these challenges, all employees have been directed not to report to work starting Monday, February 24, 2025, until these issues are fully resolved.

However, the memo clarified that management may call upon specific staff whose services are required to resume work once the matters have been adequately addressed.

In addition to the suspension, all staff members in possession of any property belonging to NEIP have been instructed to return them to the HR Officer on or before the close of work on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.

“Failure to comply with this directive, the memo warns, will be considered as deliberate theft of such item(s),” the memo stated.

NEIP, a government initiative under the Office of the President, is responsible for promoting entrepreneurship and innovation in Ghana.
