NIB summons Abronye over GH¢550M hoarding allegation against Mahama

The National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) has officially invited Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye, the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), to assist in investigations over allegations he made against President John Dramani Mahama.

A letter signed by Bono Regional Commander Mr. Kwaku Afari indicated that the NIB’s Director of Investigations had instructed Abronye to appear before him on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Kawukudu in the Greater Accra Region.

The purpose of the meeting is to aid in the bureau’s probe into claims Abronye made during an interview on Movement in the Morning, a political talk show on Movement TV hosted by Kwaku Dawuro.

During the interview, Abronye accused President Mahama of hoarding GH¢550 million, allegedly meant for dismissed appointees at the Jubilee House.

He further alleged corruption in the recruitment and revocation processes within the administration.
