NPP claims 92% of newly registered voters in Ashanti Region

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has claimed a staggering 92% of the newly registered voters during the limited registration exercise in the Ashanti Region are affiliated with the NPP.

According to the party, the achievement was a result of the superior strategy focused on encouraging voter registration rather than resorting to violence.

“Winning an election isn’t about noise-making and violence, but your ability to ensure that your people register in their numbers.”

“That is exactly what we did. As we speak, we have over 92% of registered voters in the album being NPP members,” the party emphasized.

The party, in a statement on Wednesday, attributed this success to assigning specific targets to various constituencies and officers, ensuring their commitment to the agenda.

Addressing the media, the regional party leadership expressed gratitude to all members and supporters for their unwavering enthusiasm.

They commended the largely peaceful and calm atmosphere of the limited voters’ registration exercise, which is often marred by violence.

The NPP praised the Electoral Commission for an excellent job and acknowledged the efforts of their regional and constituency officers in achieving their registration targets.

The party, however, issued a stern warning to non-NPP members, particularly presidential aspirants, cautioning against attempts to tarnish the party’s name and image.

“The Ashanti Region NPP won’t attack any presidential aspirant, but any non-NPP member who attempts to bring the name and image of the party into disrepute would not be spared,” the party stated.
