The New Patriotic Party (NPP) France branch has disassociated itself from a statement claiming the branch has thrown its weight behind one of the aspirants in the party’s flagbearer race.
According to the branch, the statement is false and churned out by an imposter and not a member.
A release issued by the NPP France Branch said its attention was drawn to the fabricated claim by an unknown individual purporting to be a member.

“This unknown person claims all participants (including external branch members and speakers) sang accolades for a contender in the NPP’s upcoming Presidential Primaries.”
“This never happened,” the statement signed by Mr. Fredrick Addo (NPP France Chairman) and Mr. Frank Kwateng (NPP France Secretary) said.
The branch explained that it organized a programme and the Vice President, H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who was the special Guest of honour, was represented by H.E. Charles Asuako Owiredu, Ghana’s ambassador to South Africa, and assisted by Emmanuel Attafuah, former director of international affairs of NPP.
The Chairman of the Occasion was Hon. George Mireku Duka, Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, and Hon. Vincent Ekow Assafuah, MP for Old Tafo Constituency, who was also a guest, delivered important statements emphasising the party and government’s successes, as well as highlighting the significance of party unity ahead of the NPP’s Presidential Primaries.
Those representing the respective NPP Presidential hopefuls, it said, were allowed to announce their donations to the branch.
“There was no decision expressed by the NPP France Branch or any other external branch members from other countries to endorse any NPP Presidential hopeful.”
“We would like all good-willed people and ‘democrats by choice’ to disregard this fabrication and propaganda,” the statement said.
The branch stressed the claim is diabolically woven to ruin its excellent reputation and hence must be ignored.
