Mr Ebenezer Bimpeh, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman for Amenfi Central Constituency, in the Western Region, has stated that NPP needs unity, peace, and respect for leadership to help take power from the National Democratic Congress in 2028.
He said in recent times, the party had lost strength in terms of unity and peace which could be detrimental to the party’s chances of coming back to power.
Mr Bimpeh said this when he addressed the youth caucus of the NPP in the constituency.
He acknowledged that the internal divisions within the party at the headquarters, region, constituencies, and even the polling stations contributed to the electoral defeat in the last elections.
“I am of the firm belief that with unity, NPP will win the 2028 elections because fairness and justice are the only ways of fostering peace and unity within the party,” he said.
“And without these principles and ideas, it would be difficult for the party to regain power,” he added.
