The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential primary in the Akan constituency in the Oti Region turned in a real shocker when two hidden cameras were discovered in the trees above the polling booth.
This shocking discovery caused a significant disruption to the election process.
The matter was reported to Kadjebi District Police Command, which acted promptly and dismantled the cameras.
The cameras are presently in the possession of the Kadjebi District Police Commander, Superintendent Gyan-Mante Frimpong as exhibits.
Reports indicate that the quick thinking of Kennedy Agyapong’s party agent, Kofi Aduam Bawuah, led to the discovery of the hidden gadgets.
The removal of the video gadgets allowed voting to continue uninterrupted but some delegates expressed displeasure and warmed that such attempts to interfere with the democratic process will not be tolerated.
