Charles Forson, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate, has been declared the winner of the 2024 parliamentary election following a re-collation of results conducted at the Greater Accra Regional office of the Electoral Commission (EC).
The re-collation confirmed Forson’s victory, solidifying his position as the elected representative for the constituency.
However, the process was marred by controversy as his main contender, Ebi Bright of the opposition, boycotted the re-collation, labeling it as illegal. Despite her absence, the EC proceeded with the exercise, culminating in Forson’s official declaration as the winner.
