OccupyBoG demo: Police hit Minority with court injunction

The Accra Regional Police Command of the Ghana Police Service has obtained an injunction against the Minority group due to disagreements over the planned route for the Occupy Bank of Ghana protest march on Tuesday, September 5.

The Minority had intended to march to the Bank of Ghana (BoG) to demand the resignation of the Governor and his two deputies.

However, the police requested a revision of the route, citing security concerns regarding the BoG headquarters.

Despite the police offering to provide security, the Minority leader rejected the proposed alternative route and insisted on their original plan.

The police have since obtained a court injunction against the protest, which is scheduled for Monday, September 4.
