#OccupyBog protesters paint Accra red, chant Governor Addison must go

The #OccupyBoG protest organized by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) MInority in Parliament is currently in progress in Accra

The demonstrators took to the streets early Tuesday morning, October 3, to voice their frustrations and demand action from the government.

The demand of the protesters is the immediate removal of the Governor of the Bank of Ghana and his deputies.

The protesters believe that these officials’ perceived incompetence has directly contributed to the financial issues faced by the Bank of Ghana.

The march began at Obra Spot and is set to conclude at Independence Square, with a planned U-turn at the National Lottery Authority. The participants are predominantly dressed in black and red attire, many wearing red caps.

They are passionately chanting patriotic songs, expressing their unified call for change and accountability.

To ensure the peaceful conduct of the demonstration, the Ghana Police Service has deployed its personnel and taken proactive measures.
