The Oda Constituency Executive Committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have set Friday 26th January, 2024 to affirm the candidature of Honourable Alexander Akwasi Acquah as Member of Parliament for the Constituency.
This is in line with Article 7 clause 31 of the Party’s constitution.
A statement issued in Accra said “Following the official communication of the General Secretary of the Party on the 17th January 2024, declaring Hon Alexander Akwasi Acquah’ as unopposed Candidate, the constituency Executive committee wish to convene an Extraordinary Conference in accordance with Article 7 clause 31 of the Party’s constitution to affirm the candidature of Hon Alexander Akwasi Acquah in line with the *Public Elections Regulations( C.I 127)”.
It continued: “For the avoidance of doubt, Article 7 clause 32 of the Party’s constitution state clearly the Delegate for the Extraordinary Delegate Conference, that it shall be the same as the delegate for the constituency Annual Delegate Conference.ie Polling station Executives, Electoral area Coordinators, Constituency Executives Committee, Council of Elders and Patrons.”
