The Deputy Minister for Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development, and incumbent Member of Parliament for Offinso North, Augustine Collins Ntim, experienced a day of profound sorrow and setback on Saturday, January 27th, 2024.
Mr. Ntim faced the heartbreaking loss of his son, Rabbi Ntim Dapaa, followed by a political defeat in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary primary.
Rabbi Ntim Dapaa’s passing reportedly followed a brief illness.
The funeral arrangements have been set for Saturday, February 3rd, 2024.
The lying-in-state will take place at Mr. Ntim’s residence in Nkenkaasu, Offinso North District, starting at 4:00 am, with the burial scheduled for 9:00 am at the Nkenkaasu Cemetery.
The final funeral rites will be held at his residence immediately following the burial.
On the same day, Mr. Ntim also faced political defeat in his party’s parliamentary primary losing to his main competitor.
This dual loss marks a significant and challenging period for Hon. Augustine Collins Ntim, both personally and politically.
