The NDC is asserting its position as the majority caucus and assured the public that it will support legislative

NDC Majority Whip, Governs Kwame Agbodza underscored the party’s willingness to work collaboratively for the nation’s benefit.

“The record in the House suggests that we have supported government business. For you to be singled out among your peers… it’s an accomplishment that we have to continue to praise you and sing to the whole world to know who you are.”

Despite an often tense political atmosphere, Agbodza reassured the public of the NDC’s commitment to stability.

He said, “We are not here to interpret or to do anything about whatever the Supreme Court said or did not say. Parliament must remain supreme as the symbol of democracy,” he said, emphasizing the importance of parliamentary sovereignty in upholding democratic governance.

The NDC Whip also responded to concerns about Parliament’s frequent adjournments, affirming the NDC’s readiness to attend to parliamentary business as scheduled.

“The NDC is the majority… We shall be available to be attending upon the House as directed by Mr. Speaker,” he pledged.

Addressing questions about public fears of parliamentary dysfunction, Hon. Agbodza insisted, “Parliament is not shut down. The Parliament of Ghana must remain supreme as the symbol of democracy.”
