The nominees include K.T. Hammond, Member of Parliament (MP) for Adansi Asokwa, for the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

Member of Parliament for Abetifi, Bryan Acheampong for the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, and Stephen Asamoah Boateng, for the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs.

Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, Minister of State at the Ministry of Finance.

Dr. Stephen Amoah, MP for Nhyiaeso, Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry and Mr Herbert Krapa, Deputy Minister for Energy.

The nominations to the Ministries of Trade and Industry, Food and Agriculture and Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs were occasioned by the resignations of the substantive Ministers, Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten, Dr. Afriyie Akoto and Ebenezer Kojo Kum respectively.

While the first two gentlemen vacated their positions to pursue their presidential ambitions, the later resigned due to ill-health that has affected him for the past couple of years.

In a letter addressed to the Speaker of Parliament, President Akufo-Addo expressed hope the approval of the Ministers-designate and Deputy Minister-designate will be done expeditiously to enable him to fill the vacant positions in the government, as soon as possible.
