Former President John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) flag bearer for the 2024 elections, kicked off his nationwide #BuildingGhana Tour on Friday.
The ambitious journey will traverse all sixteen regions of the country, fostering direct engagement with diverse stakeholders, participation in social and political events, and the hosting of impactful town hall meetings.
The inaugural leg of the tour commenced in the Bono Region, where Mr. Mahama commenced the day by paying a courtesy call on the esteemed Wenchihene, Ampem Osagyefo Annye Amo Ampong Tabrako III, and his council of elders at their palace.
The former President engaged in meaningful discussions with the traditional leaders, exploring ways to collaborate on initiatives that contribute to the socio-economic development of the region and the nation at large.
The Wenchihene and his elders warmly welcomed Mr. Mahama, expressing optimism about the potential positive impact of the #BuildingGhana Tour.
The #BuildingGhana Tour is designed to be an immersive experience, allowing Mr. Mahama to connect with citizens from all walks of life.
The itinerary includes interactions with local communities, attendance at various social and political functions, and the hosting of town hall meetings to gather insights and perspectives directly from the people.
Mr. Mahama will also share his vision for the future of Ghana and outline key policy initiatives that he believes will contribute to the country’s growth and prosperity.
The Tour is expected to serve as a platform for constructive dialogue and engagement, fostering a stronger connection between the NDC and constituents
