Pogba turns down move to Etihad for fear of backlash from United fans

French International Paul Pogba has reportedly turned down a move to Manchester City over potential backlash from Manchester United fans.

The Man United star had agreed personal terms with the Sky blues but made a u-turn from the move to the Etihad because he was concerned about the backlash from supporters of the Red Devils.

Pogba left Old Trafford as an academy player to join Juventus in Italy and enjoined massive success with the Old Lady of Italian football and establishing himself as a dangerous striker.

He made a return to Man United under Jose Mourinho but had a very cantankerous relationship with the United Boss who accused the player of attempts to control the squad.

Mourinho eventually departed Old Trafford as many former Man United players threw their weight behind the player and insisted between Pogba and the coach, that the player should rather stay.

Unfortunately, the French international never discovered his best form even after Mourinho left and struggled for fitness and adequate playing time under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and interim coach Ralf Rangnick.
