The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, will deliver the first of his Message on the State of the Nation for his second term in office to Parliament on Tuesday 9th March, 2021.
This is in fulfilment of the Constitutional provision in Article 67 of the 1992 Constitution which states, “The President shall, at the beginning of each session of Parliament and before a dissolution of Parliament, deliver to Parliament a message on the State of the Nation.”
Tuesday’s delivery will be the first of the President’s State of the Nation Address in the 8th Parliament of the 4th Republic.
A statement from the Public Affairs Department of Parliament indicated that attendance and coverage of the event, which will be held at the Dome, will strictly be by invitation or accreditation.
All Covid-19 protocols, including social distancing and mask wearing, the statement said, will be observed.
