The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has eulogized Madam Akua Donkor, Founder and Presidential Candidate of the Ghana Freedom Party describing her life as an inspiration to all Ghanaians, regardless of gender, educational status or age.
The Party said everyone can make meaningful and impactful contributions to the development of Ghana irrespective of one’s social status.
Akua Donkor died on Monday, October 28, at the age of 83.
Renowned for her spirited presence in Ghanaian politics, Akua Donkor was a staunch advocate for the rights of farmers and women. Her bold, outspoken demeanour enabled her to capture public attention and significantly impact the grassroots communities she aimed to represent.
However, the NPP in a statement issued by Justin Kodua Frimpong General Secretary entreated all Ghanaian women in particular, to aspire to greater heights by the comforting assurance that if Madam Akua Donkor could do it, then all Ghanaian women can also do it.
