The Private Newspapers and Online News Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG) has launched a dedicated hotline in response to the Akosombo Dam spillage disaster, urging victims to share their experiences and concerns.
Expressing deep sympathy for the affected individuals and communities, PRINPAG has pledged its commitment to utilize its extensive network to raise awareness and mobilize support.
Acting Executive Secretary of PRINPAG, Jeorge Wilson Kingson, expressed the Association’s solidarity with the victims stating, “Our hearts go out to those who have experienced losses, damages, and displacement as a result of this unfortunate incident.”

PRINPAG, representing private newspapers and online news publishers in Ghana, recognizes the crucial role it plays in highlighting the challenges faced by the victims.
Through their online news platforms and print publications, PRINPAG members are prepared to disseminate comprehensive reports, concerns, and updates regarding the Akosombo Dam spillage.
“We encourage affected individuals, community leaders, and concerned citizens to reach out to us through the provided hotline.”
“By sharing their experiences, victims can be assured that their voices will be heard by the right persons, contributing to a better understanding of the situation,” the statement said.
The hotline aims to facilitate communication between the victims and PRINPAG members.
The Association believes this initiative will expedite the process of bringing assistance to the affected individuals.
President of PPINPAG, Andrew Edwin Arthur expressed the unity and commitment of the Association to support the victims through its extensive networks of news outlets.”
“We call on individuals throughout the country to join us in raising awareness, advocating for appropriate actions, and mobilizing resources to aid those affected,” he appeals.
