Kennedy Agyapong, a flagbearer hopeful for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has urged party delegates in the Western Region to disregard advice from corrupt leadership in the party when choosing who to vote for in the upcoming primaries.
He made this call during a rally in Takoradi, which marked the end of his showdown Health Walk.
According to Mr. Agyapong, this corrupt leadership is incapable of criticizing the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) as they themselves engage in corrupt practices.
He also accused some NPP leaders in the Western Region of undermining his campaign during the Super Delegates’ conference, where he performed poorly.
The Health Walk was well attended by supporters of Ken Agyapong who danced and sang in support of his presidential ambition.
They expressed their belief that he is the right aspirant to lead the NPP.
In his address to the supporters at the rally, Mr. Agyapong warned them not to make the mistake of voting for aspirants who will lead the party to opposition.
