Sefwi Queen Mother Gets Peace Council Job

Nana Abena Anniwa ll, the Queen Mother of Sefwi Bekwai Traditional Area in Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai in the Western North Region has been appointed to serve on the National Peace Council.

She was nominated by the Western North Regional Minister, Mr. Richard Obeng Ebbah in accordance with section 9(b) of the National Peace Council Act, 2011 (Act 818) of the Constitution.

Nana Anniwa ll told journalists after her nomination that she is thankful to Mr. Obeng Ebbah and President Akufo Addo for the honour done her.

She pledged to serve diligently so that she would achieve the purpose for her call to serve on the National Peace Council.

Nana Anniwa ll, started her elementary school at Sefwi Bekwai Roman Catholic School and successfully completed it in 1988.

She enrolled at Garden City Commercial School in Kumasi from 1988 to 1991 where she obtained a professional certificate.

The visionary queen, who is also a business woman before this enviable nomination, has served the nation in various capacities.

She was an active member of the Health Committee of the Western North Regional Health Directorate and has been involved in peace building among her subjects.

Nana was a member of the National Dialogues Mobilization and Education for Referendum towards the creation of the Western North Region.

Nana single handedly constructed and fully furnished two class rooms for Sefwi Bekwai M/A Primary School.

She donated nose masks, sanitizers and helped in educating her subjects in the heat of the Covid-19 pandemic.
