The TDC Ghana Limited, as part of the customer week celebration, has donated a sum of GHC 2 million to the Kpone Traditional Council (KTC) towards the construction of a community centre for the area.
Mr Seth Abladey, a board member of TDC, accompanied by other officials, presented the cheque to reinforce the strong relationship between the company and KTC.
Mr Ian Okwei, the Protocol Officer and Administrative Officer, TDC Ghana Ltd., told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview that the donation also formed part of the company’s corporate social responsibility.
He said the community centre would enhance community engagement, promote cultural heritage, improve access to essential services, and many others for the people of Kpone.
He explained that it would also serve as a lasting testament to their partnership, reflecting TDC’s commitment to sustainable urban development and community engagement and its dedication to giving back to communities where it operates.
He noted that the community centre would be of great benefit to Kpone residents for generations to come and make a positive impact on the community.
