Tottenham expect to finalise the transfer of Everton striker Richarlison within the next 24 hours and have agreed to sign Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet on loan.
Everton want over £50m for the Brazilian and talks are focusing on the structure of the fee. His previous club Watford are due 10 per cent of anything over £40m.
The two sides have been locked in talks in recent days. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy met with good friend and Everton counterpart Bill Kenwright for dinner at Scott’s in London on Monday evening.
Proposals involving Harry Winks have also been dismissed.
Spurs manager Antonio Conte is looking to add to his squad quickly and prepare his team well in advance of the transfer window closing.
He has already brought in Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster and is looking to add attacking depth to what was at times a stretched squad last season.
