Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang received medical care at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) after experiencing a sudden health issue on Friday, March 28, 2025.
In a statement released on Sunday, March 30, the Presidency’s Communications Directorate confirmed that she visited UGMC on Saturday for medical attention following the unexpected illness.
The statement, signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Member of Parliament and Minister for Government Communications, indicated that doctors have recommended further treatment abroad to support her full recovery.
“We extend our best wishes to the Vice President for a speedy recovery,” the statement concluded.
