Media personality and Television presenter Afia Kwarteng Asamani, popularly known as Authentic Mama, has reportedly resigned from Atinka Media Village (Atinka TV/ Atinka FM), a subsidiary of Tobinco Group of Companies.
The announcement of the exit of the seasoned journalist from the Avenor-based station has brought sadness to her fanbase.
A post on her Facebook page has sent tongues wagging over the reasons behind the resignation of Afia Kwarteng. But deep-throat sources close to her say she endured several bouts of frustration while juggling between serving as the Host of popular series, Tumhari Phaki, and as a parliamentary correspondent for the station.
Afia has over a decade of experience in journalism, specifically in news anchoring, hosting award-winning TV shows, and parliamentary reporting.
Despite not stepping foot in a senior high school (SHS), the award-winning Afia has broken all glasses, climbed the academic ladder, and now pursuing a Master’s in Public Relations at the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ).
