The Ghana Meteorological Agency has issued a weather warning of a rainstorm observed over southern Nigeria propagating westwards, expected to bring moderate thunderstorms and rain to southern Ghana.
Currently, the storm is over Aflao, Anloga, and their immediate surroundings. As it continues its westward movement, it is expected to induce cloudiness over towns along its path. The rainstorm is forecasted to produce rain and thunderstorms of varying intensities over the coastal and middle sectors of Ghana.
The rainstorm is expected to affect Accra, Kasoa, Tema, Aflao, Ada Foah, Ho, Dodze, Sogakope, Akatsi, Koforidua, Akim Oda and their surrounding environs.
Other places include Agona Swedru, Saltpond, Cape Coast, Takoradi, Twifo Praso, Tarkwa, Axim and their environs
Moderate to strong winds are anticipated to accompany the storm, potentially affecting several areas. The Ghana Meteorological Agency has advised that gusty winds will precede the storm and urged the general public to take necessary precautions to ensure safety.
Residents in the projected path of the storm are encouraged to secure loose objects, avoid staying outdoors during the storm, and be prepared for potential disruptions.
