Member of Parliament for Gushegu, Alhassan Tampuli Sulemana, has declared victory for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in his constituency two years ahead of the 2024 general elections.
According to him, for Gushegu, the NPP has broken the 8 already.
Hon. Alhasan Tampuli made these pronouncements when he commissioned rural electrification projects in 17 communities on Friday and Saturday 14th and 15th of October 2022 respectively in the Gushegu constituency.
The ten communities that were connected to the national grid on the first day are: Pumo, Bangyuuyili, Pulo, Bogu, Tugbang, Kashegu, Wawuu, Nasandi A, Nasandi B, and
Nasandi C.
The additional seven communities that were connected on the second day include Yishe, Dayudigli, Sampemo, Bugya, Tindang, Zori Yepala and Vinli.
Speaking during the commissioning Mr. Tampuli said, “I had prior to the 2020 elections connected 5 communities and that brings the total number of communities connected to 22.”
“In the coming weeks, additional 10 communities are also expected to be connected to the national grid.”
The MP was subsequently enskinned the Tuma Naa of Bogu by the Chief of Bogu Traditional Area, Bo Naa Tia Salifu at the Damba durbar grounds for all development initiatives he has personally seen and verified across the constituency.
“I wish to extend my profound gratitude and that of the good people of Gushegu to H. E. The President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President, H. E. Alhaji (Dr. ) Mahamudu Bawumia for granting us our fair share of the dividends of their uncommon leadership, while we look forward to the commencement of work on 27 new communities that are expected to be connected to the national grid, sooner!”

“For us in Gushegu, we have broken the 8 already,” he declared.
