Worawora gets paramount chief after decade of leadership vacuum

 

The WoraWora Traditional Area in the Biakoye District of the Oti Region, has finally installed a Paramount Chief, Nana Yaw Sarfo Baah II, after a decade-long wait.

The installation ceremony saw a vibrant celebration of traditional rites, cultural displays and attendance by traditional rulers and residents from the enclave.

The Queenmother, Nana Abena Sarfowaa Awerewa, said the absence of a paramount chief had left a leadership vacuum, leading to division and lack of direction.

She urged the newly installed chief to prioritise peace and development in the area.

Sanahene of WoraWora, Nana Kwaku Aborah II, urged the community to support the new leader, stressing that unity was essential for progress and peace.

“The community is optimistic that the new leadership will usher in a new era of prosperity,” he said.

The installation of Nana Sarfo Baah marks a significant milestone for WoraWora, bringing renewed hope and unity to the area.

As the community looks forward to a brighter future, the new Paramount chief is poised to playing a key role in driving development and progress.
