WWE Hall of Famer ‘Superstar’ Billy Graham dead at 79

WWE Hall of Famer “Superstar” Billy Graham, whose real name was Eldridge Wayne Coleman, has died at the age of 79.

The legend passed away Wednesday after he was taken off life support. His wife, Valerie, and daughter were with him when he took his last breath, TMZ Sports reported.

On Monday, Valerie revealed that Graham had been hospitalized in an ICU for three weeks due to various medical issues.

She shared that doctors had proposed withdrawing life support that evening, but she initially objected.

Billy Graham was well-known for his skill as a wrestler and bodybuilder, rising to prominence during his time in the American Wrestling Association and later in the World Wrestling Federation.

He was also a mentor to some of the biggest names in wrestling, including Hulk Hogan, Scott Steiner, Ric Flair and Jesse Ventura.

Graham’s contributions to the wrestling world were recognized in 2004 when he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

His family detailed his various health problems in recent months. Graham allegedly dropped 45 pounds while dealing with congestive heart failure, diabetes, hearing loss and an infection in his ears and head.

Numerous tributes have been shared from different corners of the wrestling community.
