Ghana Premier League club AshantiGold reportedly suffered an armed robbery attack on the way back to Obuasi after their game with Accra Hearts of Oak in Accra.
The robbers reportedly shot three bullets at the front windscreen, which fortunately was bulletproof as the team bus driver meandered his way through the gunshots to make his way to safety.
The team authorities have assured no individual sustained injuries during the attack and the entire team made it to Obuasi safely.
Ashgold who are struggling this season suffered defeat to the Phobians at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday evening.
Ashgold are four points above the relegation zone following the defeat.
