Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah left Accra on Friday, August 11 to attend a meeting of United States State Legislators in Minneapolis.
The meeting is to foster cross-border discussions on governance, policy-making, and other matters of mutual interest.
A statement by the NDC and signed by Kakra Essamuah, the Director of Communications said during his absence, Sofo Azorka will act as the Chairman to ensure the smooth functioning of the party’s affairs in his absence.
The Chairman’s participation in the State Legislators meeting underscores the NDC’s commitment to international dialogue and cooperation, as well as its interest in learning from the experiences and best practices of legislators from around the world.
The exchange of ideas and insights is expected to contribute to the party’s policy formulation and strategic planning moving forward.
Chairman Asiedu-Nketiah is scheduled to return to Ghana on August 19th, 2023, following the successful conclusion of the meeting.
