The African University College of Communication (AUCC), last Friday held its 19th matriculation to officially usher in fresh students to pursue degree and diploma courses in Communication, Business Administration, and Management for the 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 academic year.
A total of 648 new students, made up of 394 females and 254 males were admitted at a short but impressive ceremony attended by the Academic Board of the University.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice President of AUCC, Prof Felix Kwame Aveh, encouraged the students to be of good behaviour and live in accordance with the rules and regulations of the University while pursuing their programs.
He called on them to uphold the good name of the university at all times and desist from any form of academic malpractice.
Commenting on the admission process, Prof. Aveh said the University verified all results submitted at the entry requirement point, adding that the University abhors dishonest conduct and will not hesitate to deal with anyone who breached the rules.
The other core values that guide the conduct of academic work at AUCC, he noted, are critical and independent thinking, creativity and innovation while embracing the African cultural values and service to the community.
AUCC, according to Prof Aveh, is also working towards becoming a full-fledged University in accordance with a presidential directive for all private universities in the country to Charter and urged the students to work with them to achieve that dream.
