The United States Embassy Ghana has extended a special invitation to the Africa University College of Communications (AUCC) and its Ama Ata Aidoo Center of Creative Writing to attend a presentation to be delivered by US Vice President Kamala Harris.

The US veep is visiting Ghana and will deliver a major speech on the US – Africa strategy and new initiatives to advance shared efforts on security and economic prosperity.

According to the Embassy, in recognition of the longstanding collegial relationship between the Public Affairs Section and the AUCC and its Ama Ata Aidoo Center for Creative Writing, “We are pleased to extend a special invitation and request to have in attendance 100 faculty members and students representing your Institute.”

“The program is scheduled for Tuesday morning, March 28, 2023, tentatively from 8:00am to 11:00am (TBC) at Black Star Gate, adjacent to Independence Square at Osu in Accra.”

“We believe that the collaboration will provide participants an excellent opportunity to learn firsthand about U.S. foreign policy and initiatives across Africa, as well as a chance to be part of a historic visit.”
