Founder and leader of the Glorious Wave Church International, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi, has called out individuals, particularly self-proclaimed men of God, who are taking undue credit for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and John Dramani Mahama’s victory in Ghana’s 2024 general elections.
Speaking passionately during a church service, whose video has gone viral, the outspoken preacher criticized those he described as “charlatans masquerading as men of God” for claiming responsibility for the electoral success of the NDC.
“No man of God in Ghana has suffered for this man, President John Dramani Mahama, more than Prophet Badu Kobi.”
“Those shouting and making noise, claiming they made the NDC win, should keep quiet. God punish any man of God making noise about this victory,” he declared.
Prophet Badu Kobi also cautioned Sammy Gyamfi, the NDC’s National Communications Officer, for what he described as misplaced gratitude towards individuals who had previously criticized Mahama.
He admonished, “Sammy Gyamfi, those who stood against the NDC and your flagbearer, now you thank them? Thank them for what? These people spoke against your leader and now want to claim they helped. Stop this nonsense.”
“The nonsense that has started, I am coming at it head-on,” he added.
The prophet also made bold claims about the New Patriotic Party (NPP), asserting that the party has never truly won an election in Ghana.
“NPP can bring Bawumia, Alan, or anyone else—they will not win. Bawumia is a fine gentleman, but Ghana doesn’t need him now. The person Ghana needs is the one who has come.”
“Did the NPP win? No, so when they go wrong, you will hear my voice,” he said.
Prophet Badu Kobi expressed his pride in being labelled an ‘NDC prophet’ stating that he is not ashamed of being called an NDC prophet.
Reaffirming his support for President-elect John Dramani Mahama, the prophet emphasized his belief in Mahama’s suitability to lead Ghana at this critical juncture.
“This is the man Ghana needs now. He is the one who will bring the change and progress we seek,” he said.
