One person has been shot dead following a gun battle between residents of Bawku and some military persons stationed to maintain peace in the area.
According to a report on citifmonline, three of the soldiers were wounded in the exchange of fire that started in the early hours of Wednesday, March 16, 2022.
The said officers were deployed to keep the peace of the town following renewed clashes in the town, which claimed a life on Monday.
During the military operation, however, some residents of the town violently confronted them resulting in the gunfire.
In the process, one civilian was shot dead, while two others sustained injuries.
