Second Lady Samira Bawumia is encouraging delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Amansie constituencies in the Ashanti region to reject candidates campaigning with bitter mind seeking to direct the party into opposition.

Addressing the party delegates, the second lady said, “Some presidential candidates seeking to lead the party into election 2024 lack massages and are inciting delegates against others claiming if they don’t win the upcoming election the party must go to opposition.

“Such individuals and their wives, family and children are bellyful because of what the New Patriotic party has given them. The person who is seeking to become the president is telling you that the party has cheated you, you don’t have this and that. But if we go to opposition, will you still occupy the position you have now. Will you get a DCE and Minister to put your problems before them for a solution. So please look sharp and follow a candidate who can win an election for you’’ she said.

She expressed hope that her husband will win the upcoming Presidential primaries on 4th November 2024 as it happened during the party’s special delegate’s elections.

Samira Bawumia further urged her husband’s campaign team to preach unity in their campaign activities in their respective electoral areas.

The NPP has set November 4, 2023, to elect a Presidential candidate for the 2024 general election.
