“We rushed him to Legon Hospital on Thursday dawn when he complained of sickness but he died shortly on arrival at the facility. We will meet there shortly to find out the actual cause of death,” A family source is quoted as having confided in the portal.

The former Minister was 65 years  Kofi Adda became a Member of Parliament (MP) for Navrongo in 2003 after he won the By-election in the constituency after the death of the incumbent, then Deputy Minister for Communications and Technology, Mr. John Setuni Achuliwor.

Kofi Adda retained the seat for the NPP in 2004 and was appointed Minister of Man Power Development and Employment under the John Agyekum Kufour led administration.

Kofi Adda was later in a reshuffle sent to the Energy Ministry as a Minister but was later replaced by Felix Owusu Adjapong.

In 2012 Mark Woyongo defeated him to take the Navrongo seat but he snatched the seat back in 2016.

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo appointed him Sanitation Minister upon assumption of office but sent him to the Aviation Ministry in 2018 when he did his first reshuffle.

Kofi Adda was, however, whisked off the seat in the 2020 elections Primaries by Tangoba Abayage who moved on to lose the seat to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate.

The former Aviation Minister is survived by a wife and two children.
