  • Is it not true that Asiedu Nketia had hoped to be considered for running mate in 2020 but JM had other ideas which has made him bitter?
  • Is it not fact that JM and Council of Elders tried to prevail on Mosquito to back off so we can have less tension and factions within the Party as we prepare to take power from those charlatans in government , with JM as our pilot, steering the NDC ship to our safe destination?
  • Is it not a fact that the primary role of Chairman of our Party is to chair FEC and NEC meetings? And that the Chairman is a leader of the Party only when we are in opposition?
  • Is it not fact that leader position of the Party goes to the flagbearer when chosen and also when he or she becomes President?
  • Is it not fact that the Chief Executive position of the Party really is with the General Secretary ?
  • So why on earth does Mosquito want to leave the Chief Executive(CEO) position and assume the Chairmanship position? Unless there is an ulterior motive.
  • How can anyone claim that if the Chairmanship position is given to him now on Dec 17th, he would be so courageous to secure our victory in 2024, when he would no longer be leader after February or March, 2023, when we would have elected a new leader in the name of the flagbearer and also a new GS?
  • Now let’s look at some figures for comparison purposes:

In 2016 NDC had less than 4.8mil votes and in 2020 secured approximately 6.2mil plus votes.

Presidential Kufuor, echoes from the past

Now in 2016 Mosquito was GS( CEO) and Ofosu wasn’t Chairman and we lost elections even though we were in power with all the resources we could muster.

In 2020 with Ofosu as Chairman and Mosquito as CEO, working together with other hardworking executives and Party loyalists, we secured numbers that even the almighty JJR never attained.

  • I am of the view that if GS Asiedu believes he has newer ideas and feels more courageous now than ever before, he should be given the campaign manager position to drive the campaign to victory in 2024 with his special courage and new strategies.
  • The argument that our withdrawal from the AWW by-election be used as a yardstick to measure the capabilities of a good and courageous leader or chairman is hollow.
  • Under Chairman( leader) Ofosu Ampofo and GS ( CEO) Asiedu Nketia, and Former President JM, NDC has indeed become very attractive and sought after, and especially with the mess that Akufo Addo has brought upon this nation, there is the urgent need for the NDC to close its ranks in order to help rescue our nation.

• Let us not rock the boat. Rather let us retain Chairman Ofosu Ampofo as Chairman and consider Asiedu Nketiah as Campaign Manager for 2024.
