The Adwoa Safo Foundation is set to host its annual Christmas Party for children in the Dome Kwabenya Constituency on December 27 at the Atomic Park.
The aim is to support every child that lacks the privilege to celebrate Christmas at home.
“I believe the children are our future so I organize this Christmas parties for them and use the occasion to encourage them to study hard,” said the founder of the Foundation, Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo, Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection.
The event brings together a number of children in the Constituency who for one reason or the other are unable to partake in the seasonal festivities.
According to Hon. Adwoa Safo, the party will give such kids a sense of pride to make them grow and become great leaders in future.
Apart from the fun aspect, these vulnerable children, some with disability, will be given story books, exercise books and other educational logistics to boost their confidence.
That aside, Hon. Adwoa Safo said the party would give the children a sense of pride and belonging.
“As a female representing my constituency in Parliament, I must be a mother for all, especially the children. The children are looking up to us as role models so I use the Christmas party to mentor and inspired them.
The Adowa Safo Foundation also supports women, the aged and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).
“The single mothers need our support and encouragement; that is the reason why the foundation organizes this party every year.”
The Adowa Safo Foundation also gives scholarship to children and supports them with their needs.
