The Bawumia Campaign Team’s Director of Communications, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, has called on the NPP to reflect deeply on its defeat in the 2024 general elections and devise strategies for a robust comeback.

The NPP faced a significant loss to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in what political commentators have described as a historic election.

In an interview on Channel One TV, Aboagye stressed the need for the party to evaluate the circumstances that led to its electoral failure critically.

He rejected assertions that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was solely accountable for the defeat, instead attributing the outcome to the collective actions of the government machinery.

Aboagye highlighted that appointees executing the President’s vision also share responsibility for the party’s performance at the polls.

He urged the NPP to unite, learn from the challenges, and position itself effectively for future elections.

“I don’t know, I mean the government lost the elections. I have learnt a lot in this life at a very young age to realise that you win as a team and you lose as a team.”

“I was a Metropolitan Chief Executive, it is possible that in some areas they needed a little bridge, Akufo-Addo has put me there. He’s not in my constituency, he’s not in my municipality, it’s possible that I didn’t do it and the people will be angry at the government,” he stated.
