The high-profile trial of American music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs entered its 16th day on Wednesday with dramatic courtroom testimony that painted a chilling picture of alleged abuse, intimidation, and drug use.
Taking the stand was Bryana Bongolan, a close friend of singer Cassie and a fashion designer, who recounted a harrowing incident in which she claimed Diddy nearly threw her off a high-rise balcony.
According to Bongolan, the encounter occurred during a visit to Cassie’s residence, where she and Diddy were either smoking or about to smoke a marijuana blunt. She told the court that Diddy suddenly lifted her over the edge of the balcony and shouted, “You know what the f** you did!”* before pulling her back and violently slamming her into furniture inside the apartment.
Bongolan also testified about a separate incident in which she alleged that Diddy threw a knife at Cassie during an argument. She claimed that Cassie, in the act of self-defence, threw a knife back at him.
In addition to recounting these violent episodes, Bongolan spoke extensively about alleged drug use involving Diddy, also known as Puff Daddy. She stated that he frequently provided drugs to her and Cassie and, on some occasions, she purchased drugs on their behalf.
While her testimony was emotional and dramatic, the defense team sought to undermine her credibility by pressing for specific details and timelines of the alleged incidents—many of which Bongolan admitted she could not recall.
Earlier in the proceedings, digital forensics expert Frank Piazza testified about the authenticity of a now-infamous video showing an alleged assault on Cassie. Piazza confirmed that the footage had not been tampered with, explaining the forensic processes used to verify its integrity.
Piazza also disclosed that he had enhanced the audio on ten alleged sex tapes submitted as evidence by the prosecution. These tapes are expected to be introduced in court in the coming weeks, potentially deepening the legal troubles for the embattled music executive.
Bongolan is expected to return to the stand on Thursday for further cross-examination. Her testimony will be followed by “Jane,” another accuser whose identity remains protected and whose statement is anticipated to deliver further revelations in what has become one of the most-watched celebrity trials in recent memory.
