A group calling itself Asamankese Youth for Development is pleading to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo not to reappoint their Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) after describing his “arrogant”.
The group in a statement copied to this site and signed by its leaders led by Evans Eduah said they are “sick and tired” of Mr. Seth Oduro Boadu who has over the years done little to help the municipal.
“He does not accord the traditional leaders with the needed respect and the youth as a whole hence the appeal to the President not to re-appoint him. We are tired and sick of his impudence, arrogance, ignorance, and unproductive divide and rule tactics.” A portion of the statement read.
Below is the full statement
The Asamankese Youth for Development wishes to appeal to the President of the Republic of Ghana not to re-appoint Hon. Seth Oduro Boadu as MCE for West Akyem Municipal Assembly. The whole of West Akyem went silent upon hearing the nomination of the said MCE by the President in 2017.
Allowing him and giving him a chance to see what he would bring on board for serving a four-year term, his arrogance towards the people in the Municipality including his own party stalwarts is nothing to write home about, his centering of all powers around himself which even manifested in his commands and speeches wherever he goes is bit disgusting.
When it comes to development, the municipality has not benefitted from all government projects undergoing thru out all the Municipalities in the Eastern region.
He is classified as the worse MCE the Assembly has ever produced. He did nothing to uplift the image of the Assembly but rather plugged them into hatred and divisive. The MCE has demonstrated for the past four (4) years that he does not carry his own people along and refuses to build teamwork.
He does not accord the traditional leaders with the needed respect and the youth as a whole hence the appeal to the President not to re-appoint him. We are tired and sick of his impudence, arrogance, ignorance, and unproductive divide and rule tactics.
